B Ocean Fort Lauderdale, the reinvented former Holiday Inn at Sunrise Boulevard and A1A, opened its doors in January. But the grand opening celebration begins March 31 with a strong cooking component for us locals.

B Ocean hired chef Holli Ugalde, Season 7 winner of Fox TV’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” to the unique position of celebrity signature chef. It’s her job to develop signature dishes and host events like the upcoming cooking classes.
For $300, the chef will offer two, five-hour hands-on cooking classes Saturday and Sunday.
Pricey, but that’s a lot of face time with a chef.

Look for Chef Holli signature items in B'stro, the hotel's full service restaurant and in the lobby lounge where she has developed a tapas menu. Her dishes also appear on catering menus for weddings and other special events.
