Florida’s B hotel brand to add Miami Beach resortShare
The South Florida-based B Hotels & Resorts brand that launched in Fort Lauderdale this year is soon to place its name on a second property: the Continental Oceanfront South Beach Hotel.
The 251-unit South Beach hotel at 18th Street and Collins Avenue is now being renovated while open.
The hotel is scheduled to open as a B resort late next year, said Ayelet Weinstein, chief executive for the Weston-based brand that aims to offer chic, boutique-style hotels in the 3- to 4-star range.
Weston-based InSite Group and partner Cube Capital of London bought the oceanfront South Beach hotel for $61 million earlier this year. Insite also had purchased the hurricane-damaged Holiday Inn on Fort Lauderdale beach and remodeled it into the months-old 240-unit B Ocean Fort Lauderdale resort.
