Royal Plaza at Disney World to rebrand as a B Hotel

The companies behind a new, upscale hotel brand based in South Florida have decided to add the Royal Plaza Hotel at Walt Disney World to the fledgling chain.
B Hotels & Resorts LLC said Monday the 394-room Royal Plaza, acquired by Weston-based InSite Group and Cube Capital of London, would become the chain's third hotel, joining the B Ocean Fort Lauderdale, which opened last year, and the B South Beach, scheduled to open early next year.
The company said the Disney hotel-plaza property would remain open throughout a complete renovation of the facility, which it expects to complete in the fall of 2013.
It also said it is starting a full-service budget hotel chain, to be called "b2." The first one will debut early next year in downtown Miami, on the site of the former Continental Bayside Hotel.
